Baseball is Growing in Israel

The Israel Association of Baseball is the umbrella organization growing America's pastime in the Holy Land. We're passionate about creating opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

The origins of baseball in Israel began with American immigrants who brought the game with them after moving to the Holy Land in the 1970s. In December 1986, the Israel Association of Baseball (IAB) was formed as an amutah, a non-profit organization, to develop and promote baseball in Israel.

Today, the IAB runs six leagues across the country, with players ranging from ages 5 through 50, hailing from wide-ranging cultural, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. With the opening of Ezra Schwartz Ballpark in Ra’anana in 2021 and the soon-to-be-completed national stadium in Bet Shemesh, Israelis are playing baseball on more fields than ever before.
